Installation of Large Press Machine and Niko-Niko Grip Touchless Tool (Sangyo Shimbun)

Yamato Gokin was featured in two recent articles from the Sangyo Shimbun’s Japan Metal Bulletin.

The first article highlights the installation of a large press machine at the Miyoshi Gokin factory on August 3. The 1500 ton press machine is the first for the company, and it is expected to greatly increase productivity after operation begins in September. With the new press machine, it is now possible to easily machine large materials that were once difficult to machine.

The second article focuses on the development of an ultra-antibacterial touchless tool, called a “Niko-Niko Grip,” in cooperation with Kaisei Kogyo. The product, made with aluminum alloy for the material’s strength and antibacterial properties, was developed to meet the need for touchless products due to the New Coronavirus. The hooked tool can be used to attach straps, open lever-door handles, to touch touch-panel elevator buttons and vending machines, and to hook bags onto desks and other furniture. President Hagino commented, “It is extremely good that we were able to go from not knowing how to develop the product to selling it within 2 months. We want to contribute countermeasures against the New Coronavirus that offer safety and peace of mind.”
